Our sin creates a real separation between us and God, but God didn’t leave it that way. From the very beginning, God made a way to address that separation. In the story of Adam and Eve, when they messed up, they hid in shame. But God, in His mercy, stepped in and did something unexpected. He used the life of an innocent animal to symbolically cover their mistake, offering the first act of atonement. This powerful moment in Genesis 3 shows us that even when we fall short, God’s heart is to bridge the gap and restore the relationship.
