Every Family Fights...

When we say "fight for the heart," we want you to communicate in a style that gives value to the relationship.

Ask yourself, “How am I fighting for the heart of my child?”

You can win the argument or you can win the heart.  Often times, it is impossible to do both so, you will have to decide which one is more important.  As parents, we want obedience from our children.  However, there are times when obedience is not the most important thing at the moment.  You can have the most obedient child in the world, but you can still lose their heart.  Obedience is not the goal - a relationship is.  How do you show your child that you value your relationship?

Spend a moment a make a list of the top three ways you show value to the relationship.
