Sharing Hope

We Are Hope Carriers: Bringing Light to a Hopeless World

Welcome to the Bridge! We're thrilled to have you join us in our ongoing series, "We Are Hope Carriers." Today, we delve into the essence of hope, its foundation in Jesus Christ, and how we can share this hope with a world in desperate need. Let's explore the key points from today's sermon and discover how we can be active hope carriers in our communities.

What is True Hope?

Hope Has a Name: Jesus

Hope in Jesus is not wishful thinking; it is a joyful and confident expectation of our eternal salvation. Unlike the fleeting hope the world offers, the hope found in Jesus is an anchor for our souls, built on His faithfulness and goodness.

The Heartbeat of Our Do Good Ministry

Our Do Good ministry is dedicated to ensuring that others experience the hope found in Jesus. From local initiatives to global outreach, our mission is to do good so that others might encounter the transformative power of Christ.

Stories of Hope in Action

Feeding the Hungry

Recently, 250 volunteers packed over 52,000 meals for children and families in need, both locally and globally. This effort, in partnership with Feed the Hunger, ensures that physical needs are met while also providing spiritual nourishment.

Supporting Local Schools

Our partnership with Pink Elementary includes providing resources and support for students and teachers. From stocking resource rooms to participating in school events, we aim to be a blessing to our community.

Transformative Baptism Stories

Monica Zepeda's story is a powerful testament to the hope found in Jesus. From a place of utter hopelessness, Monica surrendered to God and found a new life filled with joy and purpose. Her journey from despair to hope is a reminder of the transformative power of Christ.

How Can We Be Hope Carriers?

Overflowing with Hope

Romans 15:13 reminds us that the God of hope fills us with joy and peace as we trust in Him, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. This overflow is not just for us but for those around us who are in desperate need of hope.

Making It Hard to Live Hopelessly

Imagine a world where it is difficult to live a hopeless life because of the pervasive presence of hope carriers. Whether in our neighborhoods, workplaces, or schools, we can make a significant impact by sharing the hope we have in Jesus.

Practical Way to Share Hope

  • Teachers: Bring hope into the classroom by encouraging and building up students.
  • Medical Professionals: Offer not just physical healing but also spiritual support.
  • Business Professionals: Conduct business with integrity and treat colleagues with respect.
  • Coaches: Use your influence to teach character and Christ-like attitudes.
  • Stay-at-Home Parents: Share hope with your children and create a nurturing environment.

Life Application

Challenges for the Week

This week, let's challenge ourselves to be intentional hope carriers. Reflect on the following questions and take actionable steps to share hope in your daily life:

  1. Who in my life needs to experience the hope of Jesus?
  2. How can I overflow with hope in my current circumstances?
  3. What practical steps can I take to share hope with those around me?

Questions for Reflection

  • Am I living in a way that reflects the hope I have in Jesus?
  • How can I support my church's Do Good ministry efforts?
  • What specific actions can I take to make it hard for people around me to live without hope?
Let's commit to being hope carriers, bringing the light of Jesus into every corner of our world. Together, we can make a difference and transform lives through the power of hope.

Thank you for joining us today. We look forward to seeing how God will use each of us to spread His hope and love. Have a blessed week!
